Where the fields stretch far and wide,
And the sky meets the endless land.

He walks these lands with curiosity,
Eager to learn and to understand,
The ways of life in this place,
And the stories that these fields hold in their hand.

The air is crisp and the winds are strong,
A reminder of the harshness of this land,
But his spirit is strong and his heart is brave,
And he walks with purpose, hand in hand.

He embraces the strictness of these lands,
For he knows it has a beauty of its own,
A kind of simplicity and honesty,
That he has never seen before.

So he walks these lands with his head held high,
A young Portuguese man in Thuringia,
Learning and growing every day,
In a place that will forever stay with him.
